Job Purpose: As an Operations/Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our client's Hydrographic Survey department, ensuring seamless coordination of operational activities and efficient management of projects. Your responsibilities will include overseeing project planning, resource management, supplier relations, scheduling, cost management, and maintaining high-quality standards in project delivery. Reporting directly to the Hydrographic Survey Manager, you will contribute to the success of the division while adhering to the highest standards of Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ).

Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Hydrographic Survey Manager in coordinating operational activities and managing all aspects of assigned projects.
  • Monitor project performance against budget, schedule, quality, and safety requirements.
  • Manage project documentation and records, including Project Management Plans, risk registers, and reports.
  • Liaise with clients throughout the project lifecycle and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Oversee the activities of internal and external stakeholders, including subcontractors.
  • Assist in the development of hydrographic survey processes and procedures.
  • Report potential financial issues and project overruns to the Hydrographic Survey Manager.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
  • Provide line management and support to junior team members.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
  • Competence in all hydrographic surveying procedures and technical problem-solving.
  • Proficient in the use of survey instrumentation such as MBES, SSS, Magnetometers, and SBP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both internally and externally.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, lead, and execute complex fieldwork projects.
  • Experience in client liaison, business development, and staff management preferred.
