Role: English Teacher

Location: Hughenden Valley

Start Date: September 2024

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement engaging English lessons that adhere to curriculum guidelines.
• Create an inclusive classroom environment that supports learning for all students.
• Use both formative and summative assessments to track student progress and development.
• Provide timely and constructive feedback, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement to guide students toward academic success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and contribute to school-wide initiatives.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Inspire a love for literature by exploring diverse genres and authors.
• Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning and promote digital literacy.
• Set clear behaviour and academic expectations to maintain a positive and respectful classroom culture.
• Encourage collaboration and peer interaction through group activities, cooperative learning, and inclusive discussions

To register for supply work, you MUST meet the following criteria:

• Hold QTS / PGCE or the equivalent (Unqualified Teachers also welcome to apply)
• Hold, or be willing to carry out, an enhanced DBS
• Be able to provide professional references to cover you for at least 2 years.
• Be a dynamic and enthusiastic teacher with the school’s values at the forefront of what you are doing.
• Have good classroom management and ability to engage a diverse range of pupil abilities.
• Be flexible and willing to go the extra mile to support pupil progress
• Able to commute to Hughenden Valley and the surrounding areas
