Homeless Support Worker

Days, Nights and Weekends available.

We have an exciting new opportunity available for a Homeless Recovery Worker in Southampton.

This role would suit someone who has experience dealing with challenging behaviors and situations. You will need to be resilient, confident and hard working to thrive in this position.

A full driving license is desired as travelling to different services is required.

We are preferably looking for someone that is fully flexible to work day and night shifts.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Support people experiencing homelessness.
  • Create and implement achievable support plans based on their needs.
  • Encourage personal growth in education, training, employment, or volunteering.
  • Teach practical life skills like budgeting, cooking, and hygiene.
  • Maintain safety within the facility, handle incidents, and contact external services when needed.
  • Monitor security through CCTV and perform safety checks.
  • Keep communal areas clean and tidy.
  • Offer basic First Aid assistance (training provided).
  • Adhoc administrative tasks when required..

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience in supporting individuals with mental health or substance misuse.
  • Valid online DBS checks for both Adults and Children.
  • Possession of a valid UK driver's license and access to a car.
