Elevation Recruitment Group are working with a manufacturer based in Wakefield to recruit a Technical Engineer to join their team.

Our client is looking for someone who is confident being client-facing with excellent customer service skills, and project management skills and can work collaboratively in a team, across other departments and with external customers

Responsibilities for the Technical Engineer include:

  • Provide technical support to the product support team
  • Provide AutoCAD drawings for projects and products
  • Produce manual page updates and technical bulletins
  • Produce and deliver training for in-house colleagues and external stakeholders
  • Carry out site visits and production of detailed reports and solutions for support requests
  • Organise and supervise product manufacture for in-house and external testing

To be successful in this role you will need the following skills/experience:

  • An Engineering background
  • Detailed knowledge of Building Regulations, industry-relevant British Standards, EN Standards and Building Control requirements
  • Be capable of basic static calculations
  • Have a good understanding of fenestration systems and how they are applied to specific project requirements
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with an ability to think laterally
  • Full literacy in Microsoft Office software suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams)
  • AutoCAD proficiency – 2D essential, 3D highly desirable
