Senior Quantity Surveyor

Due to continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their expanding Birmingham-based team.

The Role

The Senior Quantity Surveyor will play a key role in the commercial management of major façade projects across Birmingham, with project values exceeding £20m. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking business offering long-term career progression and exposure to prestigious developments.

Key Responsibilities

• Procurement of labour and materials, including onsite valuations
• Preparation of valuations and payment applications
• Management of variations and project costs, including full lump sum take-offs
• Production of CVRs and commercial reporting
• Subcontract administration and commercial management
• Providing overall commercial support across façade packages

Education, Skills & Experience

• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
• Proven track record of successfully delivering construction projects valued at £20m+
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, particularly NEC and JCT forms, along with associated commercial management practices
• Excellent financial and commercial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, analyse data, and drive project performance
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and developing junior team members
