Quantity Surveyor required for our engineering client based in Lancashire. 

This is a permanent role where you will have experience of working with NEC3 &  NEC4 contracts.  Salary is negotiable depending on experience plus benefits.

Responsibilities:

  • Involved in commercial success for projects for contract management and implementation of NEC3 | NEC4 framework contracts
  • Manage commercially from concept through to delivery for engineering projects and liaise with internal teams to mitigate contractual risks and resolve any disputes
  • Ensuring compliance, contract provisions, project delivery requirements are all in place
  • To undertake and lead on preparation, assessments,  valuation, and negotiation of variations, claims, and compensation required
  • Monitoring performance preparing and delivering reports for Senior Management
  • Promote continuous improvement in commercial processes, especially around NEC and similar contract framework administration
  • Provide coaching and mentorship where beneficial within the team and staff development plans

Skills and Experience required for the Quantity Surveyor role

  • Experience in a Quantity Surveyor role in engineering/infrastructure/construction/Civil markets or similar
  • Degree or Equivalent in a relevant subject – eg  Quantity Surveying, Finance, Commercial Management, Construction Management 
  • Candidates with relevant experience without a degree qualification will be consider where there is 5 years + quantity surveying experience in relevant industries
